Carolina Top 10 Builders: The Heritage Dunes West, Mount Pleasant, SC

THE HERITAGE AT DUNES WEST provides all the advantages of the Lowcountry-s most popular town home developments but not the price tag that normally accompanies communities offering an excellent location, high-quality construction by an award-winning builder and a wide range of recreational opportunities.

"The Heritage has the same warranty as our $800,000 homes," he comments. "That-s the confidence you can have in all John Wieland homes."

John Wieland Homes- attention to architectural design and quality is evident at The Heritage. The five distinct two- and three-bedroom, two-and-ahalf- bath plans all feature Hardiplank siding, screened porches, hardwood flooring in the foyer, crown molding, satin nickel hardware and chrome fixtures and kitchens with stainless steel Whirlpool appliances and custom cabinets. Family rooms and bedrooms are pre-wired for cable, phones and ceiling fans, and each home is protected by a Brinks home security system.

"We just added a fifth plan that includes an option to make it either two or three bedrooms," Szlosek explains. "Its versatile design gives our customers their choice of layout to suit their individual needs."

Design, quality, location and price are important, but so are the amenities offered at The Heritage. In addition to miles of biking and walking trails, residents can take advantage of Dunes West-s semi-private Arthur Hills championship golf course, clubhouse and pro shop with an on-site pro. Wieland recently opened a second Dunes West clubhouse that includes a state-of-theart fitness center, an aerobics room, shower facilities and a social hall for special events coordinated by an activities director. The new club boasts two large pools, including a zero-entry pool with a water slide, a children-s fountain area, a 10-court racquet club, a pro shop with an on-site tennis pro and a children-s playground.
